Best Patio Chaise Lounges for Sunbathing and Relaxing (2026)
Updated March 2026 · By Porch & Fire
A chaise lounge is the one piece of patio furniture that is purely about relaxation. No eating, no working, no entertaining — just laying back with a book, a drink, and nowhere to be. It is also the one thing that turns a basic patio into a space that feels like a resort.
We compared aluminum, wicker, wood, and sling-fabric chaises by comfort, adjustability, and how well they handle being left outside in sun and rain.

Tangkula Outdoor Chaise Lounge Chair
An aluminum frame with breathable textilene sling fabric. Five reclining positions from upright to flat. Folds for storage. Weighs 15 pounds so it is easy to reposition around the pool or deck. At $119, it undercuts most quality chaises by $100 or more.
What We Like
- ✓ Under $120
- ✓ Five recline positions
- ✓ Folds flat for storage
Watch Out For
- ✗ No cushion — sling only
- ✗ Narrow compared to premium options

Ostrich Deluxe 3-in-1 Beach Chair

Crestlive Products Aluminum Adjustable Chaise
A step up from budget options without the premium price. The aluminum frame is sturdy, the textilene fabric is comfortable, and the wheels on one end make it easy to move around the pool. Adjustable headrest is a nice bonus most chaises lack.
What We Like
- ✓ Wheels for easy repositioning
- ✓ Adjustable headrest
- ✓ Sturdy aluminum frame
Watch Out For
- ✗ No cushion included
- ✗ Assembly required
Chaise Lounge Placement
Position chaises facing south or west for maximum afternoon sun. Leave at least 2 feet between chaises so people do not feel cramped. If your chaises are by the pool, put a small side table between each pair for drinks and sunscreen. For non-pool patios, an umbrella or shade sail nearby gives the option to move in and out of sun without moving the heavy chaise.
